As promised it’s pi day box, and the ingredients necessary to make a “pizza pie

Pizza was first called pie when Italian immigrants arrived in the United States in the late 1800s. Pizza had similarities to a pie – with a crust, sliced triangle portions and its circular shape. Italian-Americans sold and popularized the pizzas, and the exotic dish picked up the English name “tomato pie”. Sometime thereafter the languages met in the middle to give us the term “pizza pie”.

For due diligence, I made 2 “deep dish” pie’s this last weekend in cast iron skillets.  It was inspired by one of our long time YB’ers Sally Kuzemchak, aka REAL MOM NUTRITION.
Deep Dish or “Pan” Pizza recipe

Any way you slice it (intended), your pie for pi day will be supreme (intended) and deliver (intended) a little joy this week.

I hate to be cheesy (sorry I can’t stop), but the cheese included this week could make cheese grate (I know) again.

Each of these puns is making me cringe as I write it, not because I DON’T think they are funny, but because I DO think they are funny and that makes me realize I am officially the stereotypical dad joke.

Maybe it’s time for me to start thinking outside the box. (it’s a reach)

Have a slice day! (sorry)
Benji

They come in Pre-Portioned 6oz filets.  Last weekend, along with the pie’s, I made this CHOWDA and added lions mane mushrooms to it...it was so far outside my usual diet but the flavor was A-MAZE
