Here's a simple recipe to help you breathe a sigh of relief during your final meal prep. You have bigger things to worry about, like that needy turkey in the oven!
INGREDIENTS
INSTRUCTIONS
- Boil whole blue potatoes in a large saucepan with abundant salted water until they become fork tender. Drain and return to pot.
- In a smaller saucepan, heat the milk or cream and butter together, and add garlic powder and optional minced fresh garlic cloves.
- Using a masher or ricer, mash the potatoes
- Add the hot milk and butter, along with sour cream, and mix until creamy. Test for seasoning and add more salt if needed. If the puree is too stiff, add some more milk and butter.
- Serve with your turkey, rolls, green beans, cranberries, sweet potatoes, greens, and cider! Enjoy!
