Tofu Nuggets

Ingredients:
One block of tofu (12 ounces)
1 Tablespoon healthy oil
1 (generous) Tablespoon of Braggs Amino Acids
1 Tablespoon Nutritional Yeast
Fresh Crushed Black Pepper to taste

This is a family favorite we make once a week. It’s our answer to fast food chicken nuggets and goes well with any dipping sauce or by itself.  We usually serve it with brown rice and roasted veggies. The amounts for amino acids and nutritional yeast are our preference, so feel free to experiment if you want your nuggets more salty or tangy.

1.) Set oven to broil

2.) Drain the tofu and wrap in a kitchen towel to absorb excess water.  Once fairly dry, cut tofu into square cubes, or nugget size, and gently place in a bowl.  Drizzle oil over cubes for a scant coating.  Do the same with the amino acids, nutritional yeast, and black pepper. Gently combine to distribute all the ingredients across the cubes.  Lay out onto baking sheet.

3.) Bake on broil, turning occasionally, until crisp and brown (usually 20 minutes).
