A random story:
When I was in my early 20's, I was visiting a friend in Indianapolis and we were driving past what was then referred to as the "Hoosier Dome". (Many of you probably remember this)
There was a music festival going on that day/night and I wanted to check it out so we parked and walked up to the door to try and purchase a bracelet that would gain us entry to the festival. They told us they were sold out and that we should have reserved our tickets long beforehand.
As we were walking away, there was a service entrance that went under the entire building that was big enough to drive all the band's tour buses through...and the doors were open...and I could see all the way to stage from the road....
Imagine about 5 football fields worth of distance to cover and in between me and the stage were security guards, at least 3 sets of doors, and of course the crowd that had paid when they were supposed to, in order to gain entrance to the concert.
I (and my friend that was with me) did what any normal humans would do and started walking towards the doors as if they were calling our name from the stage and the whole show was waiting on us to get there. I kid you not, I walked through the first giant doors and ignored the security guards that were in glass booths yelling, "Sir!"...walked through the next two sets of doors that each had people milling around them...got onto the floor of the Hoosier Dome that was currently holding probably 35,000 people and began walking towards the stage.
We literally walked right down the middle of the floor seating, all the way down to the front row, and the first two seats to my right on the front row were wide open. We both sat down and watched the entire rest of the show from those two seats.
The band? The Newsboys. Yes, it was a Christian Teen Music Festival and The Newsboys were headlining. What can I say?...it was a weird time in my life.

Book I Am Reading
The Lost Art of Scripture: Rescuing the Sacred Texts
Today the Quran is used by some to justify war and acts of terrorism, the Torah to deny Palestinians the right to live in the Land of Israel, and the Bible to condemn homosexuality and contraception. The significance of scripture may not be immediately obvious in our secular world, but its misunderstanding is perhaps the root cause of many of today's controversies.
