Box #26
WE ARE REPRESENTING 17 FARMS in our boxes this week!!

A few special shout outs!!
  • Darista Dips - FINALLY, we get to send each of you the best hummus in the land.  I dare you to try and NOT eat this entire container in one sitting.

  • Three Creeks Produce - We strive to grow tasty food in ways that nurture our land, our environment, and our community. Refraining from the use of synthetic pesticides and herbicides, we keep our focus on feeding our soils through regenerative practices and careful stewardship

Pic 1 - notice the date (planting season)

Pic 2 - notice the date (HARVEST season!)

  • Recipe Card - This is a card that we had made last year and never made it into the boxes.  With Scallions making it into many boxes this week we thought it would be relevant.  Also, remember that you can ALWAYS add in LOTS of your other ingredients to something like this.  Zukes, Asian Greens, Leafy Greens, Legumes would all be awesome in this dish.

  • Store Items - remember, because of the changing of the seasons that 2 things are happening constantly
    • New items are being added - even mid-week, sometimes (we just added 20+ items this week...including 6 varieties of dairy free spreads...gorgeous)
    • Limited Numbers - If we have a chance to buy something but don’t have enough to put it in boxes, we put it on the store...until it sells out

Folks, this is the time of year that things start to get fun.  LOTS of new foods, and not so many lettuces.

You have staked your claim in food security for you and your family.  By bringing your shopping to Ohio family farms and producers, you are contributing to the lasting change that we have needed for 50 years.

Always remember that these last few months did not create the problem in our food system...they exposed the problem.  YOU are now the answer to that problem.

We bleed Yellow... can’t decide if that sounds cool or stupid

Common Q's

Allergens and dislikes: We do not make accommodations for dislikes since the goal of a CSA is to support our farmers and everything they grow. We will do our best to substitute out the allergens we recognize per the list on your account. We cannot guarantee substitutions every week so if an item you cannot have makes its way into your box please share it with a friend (they may just get hooked, become a Yellowbirder themselves, and you'll both get a $10 referral credit!)

Home Delivery Folks: Please check your account each week for your delivery day (MY ACCOUNT >> UPCOMING DELIVERIES). We are trying to keep your day the same from week to week, but there may be some adjustments with the increase in home deliveries so please be sure to check your accounts.

Pick up Folks: If you have questions about your pick up location or what to do if you missed pick up PLEASE check out that info under MY ACCOUNT after logging in. You can view all info related to your goodies whereabouts from that tab.
Disclaimer: These are the items we have planned for you to get this week! However, due to the nature of... well, nature, these items are subject to change. If we are unable to put a planned item in the box we will do our best to substitute it for a cost comparable item in this box, or in a box in the future. Different size boxes allow for different items, either by type or by quantity.
