What a random list huh?

This is what I found when I googled, “foods high in Vitamin D”.

We are at that time of year in Ohio when it becomes perpetually gray.  Theoretically, the sun is supposed to be out longer right now…but doesn’t it seem like the skies have turned to concrete and the temperature just always says 45 degrees??

It’s a recipe for some serious Vitamin D depletion which can lead to seasonal depression, anxiety, and a drastically compromised immune system.

FRET NOT!  You can get your Vitamin D levels back up where they belong by doing the following…Every time the sun comes out, stop what you are doing and go outside and stand in it!  Also, and slightly less dependent on the cloud covering, you can eat some of the list above.

I realize that everyone’s diets are different, so take it or leave it depending on your preferences.

All of the highlighted ones you can click on and the link will take you to products that we have sourced for you in this category (which we happen to think are the best).

GREAT NEWS, your box this week also have Organic Oranges in them to help you get a head start.

EAT YOUR VITAMINS

As my 13 year old son says, “Peace, Love, and Plants”.

*A foodshed is the geographic region that produces the food for a particular population. The term is used to describe a region of food flows, from the area where it is produced, to the place where it is consumed, including: the land it grows on, the route it travels, the markets it passes through, and the tables it ends up on. "Foodshed" is described as a "socio-geographic space: human activity embedded in the natural integument of a particular place."[1] A foodshed is analogous to a watershed in that foodsheds outline the flow of food feeding a particular population, whereas watersheds outline the flow of water draining to a particular location. Through drawing from the conceptual ideas of the watershed, foodsheds are perceived as hybrid social and natural constructs.
