Perhaps you are getting ready to send kids back to school…YOU may be going back to school. You may be coming back from a trip…or getting ready to go on a trip.
Doesn’t it feel like we are all in a constant state of flux?
One of the hardest things to stay disciplined on during transition is our diets…YET, isn’t it one of the most important things we can do for ourselves?
During this transition season, make reminders for yourself that keep you in front of the food prep curve…here are a couple of mine.
- Always make rice…with a rice maker it is so easy and it can always be used in a pinch. Just throw it in the fridge and it’s ready for whatever…whenever.
- Always make oatmeal…same principle as #1
- Always cut and prep ALL of the veggies…don’t leave 1 carrot uncut in fridge…that poor thing knows you ain't never come back for her.
- Start an hour earlier…for everything…your day, your food prep, your bedtime…I can’t prove that this works but when I am disciplined in this, life just seems easier.
- Get a good travel cooler and just take food with you. Cut up charcuterie, cheese, salad, hummus, etc. and have it ready when you are hungry. When you would normally be on the go and hit fast food, open that cooler and eat way better food.
I love food. I love you all. I love experimenting with life. Isn’t this just the divine playground?
Let’s take care of it,

PS - grab a napkin before you bite into the peaches
