An easy meal to warm up with this fall. Put in the crock pot or make on the stove... your choice! Purchase entire recipe as a bundle
here. You have the option to add more of each ingredient depending on your needs!
Or purchase/gather the following ingredients:
-2 lbs. of local butternut squash,
-2 packs of chicken brats (weight fluctuates),
1.5 pint Local Chicken Bone Broth,
1 local hydro kale,
1 bulb of local garlic,
1 candy onion,
1 container Parm, and...
paprika and Italian seasoning or Basil Leaf spice mixture.
Perfect for a group, or to serve for dinner, and then lunch...and then dinner.
Directions:
1. Peel and cut butternut squash into cubes. Mince garlic. Chop onion.
2. Dice chicken sausage and then fry on the stove in 2 tablespoons of oil. Remove from heat and set aside when cooked through.
3. Add some oil to same pan and sauté garlic and onion until fragrant. Add the squash cubes with a generous amount of salt, and some pepper. Sauté for 8 - 10 minutes.
4. Add broth, spices, cooked veggies and chicken sausage to crockpot or pot on stove depending how you would like to complete the cooking process.
5. Stir all ingredients together and cook on high in the crock pot for 4 hours or bring to a boil on the stove and then simmer for an hour.
6. Add the kale at the end of the cook time and cook for an additional 20 mins.
7. Adjust salt and pepper levels to your liking.
8. Serve with parm if that's your thing.
