Box #22

Deep Purples and Reds are brewing this week.

My oh My it’s a beautiful time to be eating the produce of OHIO!

We have 5 BRAND NEW varieties hitting the boxes this week but none more awesome than the purple carrots.  I wish I could see the looks on each of your faces when you see them for the first time...and then TASTE them for the first time.

Our last farm dinner event was spectacular and I am still full in both heart and stomach

By the end of this week we will have the details for WINTER finalized and will get that info to you ASAP.

Turkeys are here and they are ready to be sold!  You will find them on our store and they are the highest standard of mobile pasture raised birds.  These babies were on fresh grass daily, fed only NON-GMO feed, no hormones and no antibiotics OF COURSE.  Anyways, if you’ve had one in the past, you are probably waiting for us to shut up and get to the link (click the image).

We are continuing to build out our online store with more and more product...snacks, sauces, raw milk cheeses, krauts and kimchi’s, pastured meat bundles and much more!

**Please check out our FAQ, policies, and missed pick up procedures!

Jonagold Apples

Storage:  The ideal storage temperature is 30 to 35 degrees F. with 90 to 95 percent relative humidity. If you don't have a lot of apples, the refrigerator is a good option. Place them in the crisper drawer in a plastic bag with holes in it or cover the apples with a damp paper towel.

Red Cabbage

Storage:  To store cabbage, wrap it tightly in beeswax wrap if it's been cut already, or a reusable container if it's whole. Then, store the cabbage in the crisper drawer in your fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Eggplant

Storage:    If you don't intend to eat the eggplant within 2 days, it should be refrigerated. To refrigerate, wrap in a paper towel and place in a reusable container  in the crisper section of your refrigerator for use within 5 - 7 days.

Parsley

Storage:  Wrap the herbs loosely in the dampened paper towels and place them in a resealable bag. Seal the bag and refrigerate. This method, which allows the herbs to retain plenty of moisture, will keep your thyme fresh and wilt-free for 3–5 days.

Spinach

Storage:  Store fresh spinach in a clean container wrapped with paper towels. Place it in the refrigerator in the crisp drawer to save the greens for up to ten days.
