I don’t know the first thing about KimChi.  Here is what I do know…
It’s good for your gut.
Therefore hipster’s love it
Therefore I love it
ALSO…this batch is made by Krazy Kraut which is
An Ohio company
Using Ohio grown produce
And they gave us a great deal on it because we have such cool members

This week, ONLY THE MINI boxes will be getting it.  NEXT WEEK THE BASES AND FULLS will get it.

ALSO, our fall poster (except this year it isn’t a poster, it’s something even cooler) will be in next week’s box.  (I’ve now tempted fate to interfere and throw some kind of wrench in the shipping of this product...it’s supposed to arrive here on Monday)

ALSO, if you haven’t heard, Thanksgiving is in two weeks!  I will now use the rest of this email to tempt you with all of the things that are in our online store that you need for all your cooking and holiday party needs.  We have built in some automatic “Discounts” to incentive you!
Spend $80 get $5
Spend $100 get $8
Spend $150 get $15
Spend $200 get $25

Think about all the places that you are going to in the next 2 weeks.  There are people that need to be “YOWED”!  Yowed is when you “WOW” someone with a Yellowbird Product...many of these items have been moved to the FEATURED page for easier access.

Fuji Apples

Storage:  The ideal storage temperature is 30 to 35 degrees F. with 90 to 95 percent relative humidity. If you don't have a lot of apples, the refrigerator is a good option. Place them in the crisper drawer in a plastic bag with holes in it or cover the apples with a damp paper towel.

Microgreens

Storage:  To store this green, wrap it loosely in a plastic bag (opened!) and keep it in the refrigerator.

Kale

Storage:  Do not wash Kale before storing as the exposure to water encourages spoilage. Place kale in a plastic storage bag and wrap the bag tightly around the chard, squeezing out as much of the air from the bag as possible. Place in refrigerator where it will keep fresh for up to 5 days.

Broccoli OR Turnips

Storage:   Broccoli: Store in your crisper drawer.
Turnips: remove greens and keep in your crisper drawer.

Carrots

Storage:  Chop ends and place in a mason jar filled with cold water. Stored this way they will last 1-2 weeks and stay crisp!

Brussels Sprouts

Storage:   Store in a reusable container in the crisper drawer.

Recipe: Brussels Sprouts with Lemon and Thyme

Lemon Balm

Storage:  Wrap the herbs loosely in the dampened paper towels and place them in a resealable bag. Seal the bag and refrigerate. This method, which allows the herbs to retain plenty of moisture, will keep your lemon balm fresh and wilt-free for 3–5 days.

Tomatoes

Storage:   Keep at room temperature on the counter away from sunlight.

Delicata Squash

Storage:  Store in your pantry.

Bell Pepper

Storage:   Place peppers in a container and keep them in the refrigerator.

Recipe: Stir Fry Peppers and Broccoli

Lettuce: Romaine OR Summer Crisp // Green Leaf

Storage:  After washing your lettuce leaves, spin them dry and place the slightly damp greens in a container. A container is best, but you can use a plastic bag if you keep a corner open (to allow some airflow in). Add a few paper towels to absorb excess moisture and you'll be able to store these greens for seven to 10 days. Any greens attached to a main bulb keep attached until ready to eat!
