My dad always told me, "Wisdom is learning from someone else's experience."

This is a difficult for a few reasons.

We rarely learn from our own experiences, so how can we be expected to learn from someone else's?

Even when we learn from our own experience, it is difficult to make changes that lead us away from comfort...from knowing, into what might actually be harder for us, but also lead to healing.

Life is too short to learn all the lessons there are to learn for ourselves, so we have to figure out how to learn from other people's lives as well.  In other words, I'm willing to make mistakes....but what if there are some mistakes that I don't have to make personally?

I'll tell you what...I'll keep you posted on my experiences in hopes that you can learn from them.  BUT, I need to hear about yours as well so that I can learn more than I am capable of knowing on my own.

Here's to SHARED LEARNING.  Go experience something for me!
What I'm Listening To As I Write This...

Comedian
I have a 45 second rule with all comedians that I have never heard.  I am going to skip to some random point in your show and listen for 45 seconds...if you grab my attention I will give you a longer listen.

NATE BARGATZE had me from his first word.
His Netflix special is HERE

I would rate it PG in case you were wondering what his content is like...

New Foot Covering

I've been watching this company for about 2 years.
OLIBERTE
My dear mother bought these for me for Christmas and I haven't taken them off since, except to shower.

I'm super picky about what I wear which means I basically wear the same thing everyday.
-Is it traceable?  (can I find who makes it and where they source their fabric from and how they pay their employee's etc.) YES
-Is it comfy? DOUBLE YES
-Will it last?  TIME WILL TELL...but they are warrantied for life
Tea

No coffee for the month of January means I am waking up desperate....it's in those early moments of each day without coffee that I can best identify with Esau from Genesis 25.  Birthright for a bowl of soup?  Sounds great!

This tea, ALL OHIO GROWN, has kept me from trading coffee for my birthright thus far...like the boots above, TIME WILL TELL.

Show To Binge This Weekend
Modern Love

It's on Amazon Prime.  It's short episodes.  It's one season.

If you like New York, if you life the movie "Love Actually", if you like good story telling, if you like the romantic comedy without having to have all the cheesy-ness or the hollywood ending....then get comfy.
