Mother Nature did a “Tricked Ya!” on us Ohio-ans this week...freezing nights in May are NOT normal and so some of the products that we were hoping to have by now (asparagus), will take just another week or two.

What we do have though I think is going to make your hearts SING for SPRING!

RHUBARB - There are so many things that this can be used for...try a “quick pickle” on it and then add to a salad

CABBAGE/SLAW MIX - We do this about every spring now when we get to the end of our run of winter cabbage and carrots.  Old Souls Farm, who we know from their lettuce varieties, has a big processing facility that works us up these nice pre-portioned bags of slaw mix

BLACK BEANS - Always good to pad the pantry...stay food resilient!

We had 66 people redeem the code “WWYB” to get their FREE WHISK and WILLOW Body Butter for spending $60...we are leaving it up for a few more weeks so redeem while you can!

We are adding product to the store ALL WEEK LONG so don’t forget to check back every couple of days to see what’s available….last week we added the first slicer tomatoes of the year from Bradwood Farm.  There were only like 40 pounds available so they go fast.

On the reverse side, we definitely run out of things each week as we do NOT have an endless supply of everything.  We are working hard to re-stock quickly each week so you can get all your favorites as you need them.

What do you need that we do not have?  Perhaps we can forage for it and find some.  Josh, I know you want buttermilk...still trying to persuade our dairy’s to give it a shot.

Keep preaching the gospel of real, sustainable, homegrown food!

Apples

Storage: If you don't have a lot of apples, the refrigerator is a good option. Place them in the crisper drawer in an opened container with holes in it or cover the apples with a damp paper towel.

Collard Greens

Storage:   To store fresh collard greens, place the greens in an air-tight plastic bag without washing them first. Be sure to push out as much air as you can before sealing the bag! Next, place the bagged collard greens in the crisper drawer of your refrigerator and use them within 5 to 7 days.

Storage:   Keep microgreens between damp paper towels, and make sure they are cold and covered in a container. Wrapped this way, they'll last in the fridge for about a week. Keep greens covered right up until they hit the plate—this will ensure that they don't wilt or dry out during service.

Top your favorite wraps, soups, salads, pizzas, and more with these nutritional macro flavor micro greens!
